Re: World-Valencia
Sydney drew the two glowing weapons, which happened to be two identical large knives, with a strangely hooked tip at the end, almost like a fish hook
The figure began to move slowly to the double doors leading onto the balcony, and she held her breath, every muscle tensed. The door was locked from the outside, and it would cause too much noise if she broke it down, so as much as she hated it, she would wait for her prey to come to her.

Re: World-Valencia
The Eagle Vision faded--not like she would need it for now--and her target Casmir emerged, armed with his sword.
"Assassin!"Immediately, he drew the dagger from his belt and jumped toward Sydney.

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney jumped forwards as well, intercepting him in midair and causing both of them to go flying back into the room, landing hard on the ground. She quickly jumped back up as the double doors swung shut, surprised at how able and powerful this body seemed compared to hers.
Re: World-Valencia
Casmir lashed back brutally, his blade actually landing a hit... On the heavily armored torso of the body she had "borrowed", thus the blade bounced off basically harmlessly, thanks to the Helmschmied Drachen Armor.
Re: World-Valencia
Sydney smirked. This body may not be her own, she knew, but her mind was. She did not think nor reason nor fight like Ulysses, and she was interested how his body would perform in such circumstances.
Kicking Casmir once in the torso, Sydney knocked her target over before jumping behind him as he began to stand up, swinging one of the blades behind 'her' ear and slashing it across his back in a diagonal cut.

Re: World-Valencia
Casmir doubled over, his knife dropping from his grip. However, he wasn't about to give up yet: he swung his fist hard at Sydney, aimed for jaw.
Re: World-Valencia
Although she tried to sidestep his blow, Casmir still managed to clip her once on the jaw. However, much to her surprise, the shock from the blow seemed to dissipate much faster than it would have in her own body.
She ran forwards, curving to the side at the last second and dropping to her knees, raising her blades and slashing at his achilles' tendon as she slid past him.

Re: World-Valencia
The dethroned king groaned, falling to his knee and revealing his back to her.
"Kane sent you, didn't he, ASSASSIN?"
"Kane sent you, didn't he, ASSASSIN?"
Re: World-Valencia
Most definitely so.
She did not say anything out loud. Instead, she dug the hooked tips of the large knives into the flesh in the middle of his back, taking only a hundredth of a second to ensure that she had hooked a solid grip before flinging her arms up and outwards, tearing the fabric and the flesh from his back.

Re: World-Valencia
Blood flew from the open wound, as Casmir's face planted into the floor from pain.
Something at that moment drew Sydney's eyes to the dual swords strapped to her waist--two very fine blades of Valencian iron, ready to kill.

Re: World-Valencia
Sliding the hooked knives back into their sheaths on her waist, Sydney drew the dual swords, relishing in the sharp sound they made as she wrenched them from her waist.
The blades were beautiful, indeed. Ornate and thin, ideal for slicing right through flesh cleanly and quickly.
Throwing her arms outwards in a reverse motion of her previous action, she swung both swords at Casmir's kneeling form, one aimed at his waist, the other at his neck.

Re: World-Valencia
No human words could have described how smoothly those blades slashed through flesh, bones, and tendons... The only ones coming even a tee bit close being absurdly sharp.
One two seconds later, Casmir lay in a pool of his own blood, dead.
"Excellent!"Cristobal's voice echoed once more, "now I shall take you back to the real world, shall we see if bleeding effect has taken place like expected?"

Re: World-Valencia
Yes, I suppose so, now that I have completed this 'mission'.
Sydney sheathed the blades, glancing down at her hands to once again confirm that she was not in her own body. After seeing her 'target' die in a glorious pool of crimson by her hands, she had almost forgotten that this experience was all a memory of another.

Re: World-Valencia
A brilliant flash once more, bringing her back to the real world once it faded.
"Excellently done, Commodore."Cristobal stepped back to let her off the Animus, "let's go, shall we now? Lord Ulysses is waiting in the Arena."
Once entering the Arena, Ulysses, dressed in the robes and armor she had seen in the memory, jumped off one of the ledges set in the walls, landing with a loud thud.
"By this, I guess you've completed your first bit of Animus training?"

Re: World-Valencia
"Indeed, I have." Sydney nodded in conformation, although she felt extremely strange after the whole ordeal.
Compared to the lean and able figure that she had 'possessed' during the training, her own body now felt clumsy and awkward. She was used to using this body to attack with brute force, but maneuvering around like she had in the training would be a bit of an adjustment to make.

Re: World-Valencia
"Optime!"Ulysses smiled, "now let's test it out... Commodore, why don't you try to get up onto that platform over there?"
It was only eight feet above ground, with a stack of crates nearby to mimic a real environment.

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney looked up at the platform, apprehensive at first until she remembered what the Grandmaster assassin had told her.
She would have them now, everything she had learned.
She ran forwards leaped up onto the single stack of crates, refusing to give herself time to think and doubt herself, before pushing off with her foot and landing on top of the platform, quite pleasantly surprised at herself.

Re: World-Valencia
"Everything had gone the way I expected then."Cristobal smiled, "good good! Now here's the second test."
Ulysses, as if on cue, drew his own sword from his side, "Spar with me, if the bleeding effect worked right, you should have no trouble pulling a tie."

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney leaped off of the platform, landing back on the ground and dusting herself off before pulling the ornate sabre from her belt.
It was strange, she thought, that she had never exactly been one for swords, but this time, it felt a lot less awkward and unmanageable in her hand.

Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses initiated the first blow: he stepped forward with one large stride, his rapier ripping through the air with a sharp thrust.
Even though she had not yet been fully synchronized with his memories, Ulysses was sure she had at least picked up some of his fencing skills, enough to evade this blow at least.

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney parried the blow with surprising ease, surprising even to herself. Deciding not to doubt it, she let her 'newly programmed' reflexes lead her movements, easily dodging Ulysses' next blow and going in for a strike of her own, aimed at the Admiral's torso.
Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses saw that coming, thus he was able to deflect it as well: after all, this was his style of fighting. And who doesn't know themselves the best.
Stepping to the side with grace, the human Armada admiral slashed at her right.

Re: World-Valencia
This time, Sydney barely managed to step out of the way, trying to push her panic down, trying to trust her own instinctive movements.
It was strange, fighting against the man that she had taken her newly acquired skills from.
Like fighting against a mirror, it seemed, if you looked down at raw instincts and basic technique.

Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses slashed again, locking their blades together. He barely put an efforts into those hits, and relied almost completely on his muscles to guide him.
Re: World-Valencia
Obviously, mirroring each other will get us nowhere, and eventually, he will overpower me.
She allowed herself to think about the situation for a split second, but that seemed to be all she needed, for as soon as she shut her own mind back out, she carried out the one action she had decided upon.
Sydney feinted a harsh, spontaneous blow to Ulysses' neck, likely enough to catch him even a little off guard, but then slashed at his torso again.
