Re: World-Valencia
"As how you command,"Albinus replied, though unable to get his voice higher than a whisper.
He was silent for a moment, silent as he started to recall into his cerebral processor all the details.
"Aside from the whipping and blade mutilations,"he finally begun, "Mercilus also had this witchdoctor, whose name is Cyrus Chamberlain if I overheard them correctly, reach into my mind with some sort of strange hoodoo... It created vivid images in my memories I had not known was capable: images of my creator's death, of the ruination of Valencia."
Albinus paused, suppressing the images which were threatening to reemerge and burst the barrier he had so carefully erected over his cognitive processing, that, while recalling more details.
"Mercilus had also managed to obtain another soldier, a Marine by the name of Presidos Sentus."He muttered, only loud enough for her to hear, "he dismantled him in front of me, slowly taking him apart while his system was fully functioning."
To tell the truth, it had taken Albinus more than all of his mental discipline to not allow 'fear' into his processor after that incident.

Re: World-Valencia
It was clearly evident then, Sydney realized, still not letting her hand drop, it was evident that there had been major mental damage. Her prediction was supported even further by the fact that she could feel the clockwork soldier's entire body shaking as he spoke, as he recalled his near-downfall.
It was too much to handle for a processor such as this, the unpredictable just had too many possibilities to compute. It was infinite, the number.
"Rest assured, soldier...he will pay dearly for what he's done."
And in the back of her mind, Sydney could already hear her own metaphorical gears whirring, working to assemble the first bringer of the traitor's ultimate pain.

Re: World-Valencia
"Ego tibi gratias, Commodore."Albinus whispered in his native language, then went silent again, keen on returning to repair at least a bit of his already alarmingly frail mental defenses, for the sake of his own cognitive thinking.
Once he was sure he had at least a bit of that barrier repaired, Albinus focused on the Armada commodore, asking very respectfully, "Are there any more questions you would like for me to answer, commodore?"
He would not lie, that he had the urge to just push all of it into the very back of his processor, but if it would mean anything to the Armada, he was willing to let it stay.

Re: World-Valencia
"Not at the moment, soldier. I thank you for your cooperation." Sydney took a step back from the table which he was lying on, seemingly immersing herself in deep thought for a moment before turning around and walking back out the door of the lab, Quintus and Decimus trailing her.
"I'm pretty sure you two heard all of that...now your job is to remember, so that not a single one of the traitor's crimes slips past."

Re: World-Valencia
Decimus nodded, marching stiffly behind his commander. He would remember each and every word his 'brother' had spoken, if it meant that dirty traitor would get the punishment he deserved.
The Armada sniper glanced at Quintus, who was at his right, then back at his commander, wondering briefly where they would be heading now.

Re: World-Valencia
"The both of you are free to return to the Malvolence...however, I am a still-flawed being, and I must rest so that I can perform to the best of my ability tomorrow."
Re: World-Valencia
"As how you say, commander."Decimus saluted her, turned, and headed toward Ulysses' flagship with Quintus.

((Sure.))
Sydney twisted her cravat absentmindedly around her neck as the wind blasted her hair almost horizontally behind her, yet she would not move.
This was rather exciting for her, the thought of the experience of the takeover of a Resistance fort.

Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses, with his battle mask obscuring most of his face, except one of his blood red eyes, scanned over his squadron: 40 Marines, 20 Brutes, 50 Musketeers, and 20 Dragoons. A decently sized team of warriors, in the Admiral's opinion.
He didn't bother to shield his eyes as the Malevolence passed through the second stormgate, emerging right outside the darkened fort.
The Armada admiral stepped from his position behind the wheel of his flagship, dressed in his usual outfit, though instead of his elaborate tricorne, he had on a black hood, giving him the appearance of a grim reaper.

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney trailed them closely, her eyes slowly adjusting to the darkness. Soon, she knew, after the walls were taken care of, they would be attacked by a horde of swashbucklers, each of them well-trained in the art of stealth.
However, they would not last long against the forces of the Armada.

Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses extended a Hookblade from the depth of his sleeve, and virtually ran up the wall, onto one of the two towers flanking the back gate.
Once reaching the top, Septimus deftly dispatched the guards with his sword and crossbow, casting their bodies over the side and into the abyss that was every skyway.
After he had taken care of the guards on both of the parapet towers, as well as the guard houses, Ulysses flung the large gate open, allowing a path into the fortress for his troops.
It wasn't until when they entered did hell unleash itself-
the horde of swashbucklers Sydney was expecting charged out... Only to be bashed back by the Brute clockworks among the ranks of the squadron.

Re: World-Valencia
Pushing back the urge to laugh due to the possibility of drawing pirates to her without purpose, Sydney quickly motioned for the musketeers to move in and position themselves in their designations before lifting her favored poleaxe up to combat position and leaping into the fray with the rest of the brutes.
Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses smiled behind his mask: good, everything is according to plan. He turned, sprinting the parapet walkways to the other parts of the walls, taking out guards with deadly precision, either by his crossbow or by the blade of his sword...
Down below, the Brutes easily kept the pirates from using the element of surprise: charging through their ranks with their signature attack "Brute Charge", it was virtually impossible for the Pirates to keep their formations, much less using stealth.
One of the Brutes, Militus Sextus, easily blocked a strike from one of the swashbuckler's strike with the shaft of his halberd... Before retaliating with a powerful hit that cleanly bisected the pirate at the waist, leaving two halves of a bloody corpse...

Re: World-Valencia
Sighing in sick satisfaction as the metallic smell of (a copious amount of) blood, Sydney kicked down an oncoming buccaneer, pinning him on his back underneath her foot before bringing the flat side of the blade of her poleaxe down on his head, laughing as blood and fragments of what used to be the pirate's face were flung into the air.
Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses dodged a strike from the poleaxe of one of the buccaneers, kicking off one of his knees before driving his sword through the back of his throat so the tip emerged from his mouth.
Once his opponent was no more than a mound of chilling flesh on the stone floor of the walkway, Ulysses looked up, noticing a team of swashbucklers and buccaneers rushing toward him.
A dark smile curved his lips, "Bring it on."
Reloading his crossbow, Septimus charged into the fray...
Decimus blocked the strike from a buccaneer with his sniper rifle, the force of the blow knocking him back several feet... Regaining his composure, the sniper fired once at the pirate's chest, nodding almost appreciativly when the pirate fell.

Re: World-Valencia
Several surprised shouts from hidden, but quickly advancing swashbucklers told Sydney that the musketeers were now in position and shooting, just like they had planned.
She took out another swashbuckler in one blow, laughing as their head was swept clean off of their nel by her blade.

((That is alright, my phone does that too XP))
Ulysses leapt from the walls, which by now had been cleared of pirates, and into the fray with his pistol, as his crossbow had ran out of bolts for him to use.
He spun around, shooting a swashbuckler right between the eyes, then quickly impaled a buccaneer through the throat.
Though he soon noticed... A strange green glow in the distance.
It seems, one of the witchdoctors had finally decided to appear.

Re: World-Valencia
"Quintus! Take your squadron!" Sydney snapped, before turning back to engage a rather frenzied buccaneer in a brutal exchange of blows before finally finishing him off by slicing his torso clean in half. "You know what to do!"
Without a sound, the clockwork musketeer, along with the squadron that he was placed in charge of, moved quietly towards the glow, remaining almost completely hidden and unnoticed.
They'll circle the cluster, surprise them at first, Sydney knew, and then we come in and absolutely decimate them.

Re: World-Valencia
Reloading his elaborate rifle, Optimus Aurus easily shot the swashbuckler engaging Ulysses in battle at nearly point-blank range.
The pirate gasped, clenching the bleeding hole in his chest. His legs buckled, making him fall to his knees before the Armada admiral.
Ulysses smiled behind his mask, his sword tracing the lines of his fallen foe's throat... Before driving the blade upward, into the soft flesh between their jaw and throat so the tip showed through the top of their skull.
"You have died in sheer disgrace."The admiral mumbled, tearing his sword back out with a burst of pure brute force.

Re: World-Valencia
Quintus led the group of fifteen clockwork musketeers through the shadows until they had managed to get as close as possible to the witchdoctor, as well as the surrounded group of buccaneers, without being seen, encircling them.
And then, on Quintus' signal, they all fired at once, each aiming for different buccaneers. The pirates attempted to scatter, but they quickly fell under the fire of the clockworks, allowing the four brutes that had accompanied the musketeers to charge in at the witchdoctor, hacking him to pieces despite his attempts to hurl short, but powerful blasts of energy at them.

Re: World-Valencia
It was then did the two pirate elites--Cyrus Chamberlain and Stephen Davenport--emerge from their hiding spots. After surveying the battlefield, they charged toward Ulysses, nearly catching the officer unaware if it wasn't for that Servus Decimus had fired at Stephen's back, striking his shoulder.
Septimus spun around, sword raised in time to catch the privateer's spear, turning it away before it could impale him in the chest.
Stephen snorted, unamused, "Who do you think you are, Armada scum?!" He called that out loud enough for even Sydney to hear.
Ulysses said nothing: instead, he held up his Valencian flintlock again, firing one shot that caught Cyrus in the leg...

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney snapped her head up at the pirate's arrogant retorts, her blood quickly rising in temperature as she ran towards them, her vision going almost completely red.
Using her body as a battering ram, she catapulted herself onto Stephen, sending them both tumbling onto the ground in a wild scramble for power as she gave a roar of rage, snatching her knife from her belt and stabbing him once through the eye.

Re: World-Valencia
The Privateer howled in agony, his grip on his weapon slackening as he reached up, feeling the warm gush of blood from the now useless socket where his eye was...
Ulysses advanced on Cyrus with grace only a well trained Assassin could, picking him up by the collar of his robes before harshly backhanding him with a blow to the jaw.
"Didn't expect to see me here, did you?"Ulysses hissed, his voice morphed by the skull-like battle mask on his face. "Cyrus Chamberlain, you were a part of the crew of Adrian Devereaux, remember?"

Re: World-Valencia
"HOW-"
Sydney stabbed through his other eye-
"DARE-"
She then tossed aside the knife and tore the bloodied eyeballs out with her own fingers-
"YOU-"
She stood up, raising a heeled boot over his head-
"PIRATE SCUM!"
The Armada Commodore slammed her foot down on his skull, which erupted into a glorious splatter of crimson blood and brains.
