Writing challenge for all!

Okay sorry to post bury, check out Ulysses's recent post in the character concept thread, please! i'm just posting this in case any of you are interested in doing various writing challenges- this thread is open to everybody for use and posting stuff.

I wanted to post something potentially at least semi-useful here, in case my weekend is too full to get to the rp post I owe. So all of us can use this, and whenever! It certainly doesn't have to be right this second, just whenever you feel like a writing exercise.

As to what this is, for now I say posting jukebox prompts. There are two ways you can do this, and it's the one I'm suggesting that will probably be the most useful for now. The other way is a cooperative game in which other people give you the prompts you write and you give them theirs, but I don't want to make anybody feel pressured on that end. Especially not now with how crazy this year has been.

So, the one I propose is more self-prompted. You shuffle a list of music at random (however many songs you'd like), then put a post of information like was done over in the writing dump box thread, followed by your response. If you're like what, well here's an example of a prompt that Brie/Kes/Tomas gave me over on another site:

Song: Mz Hyde - Halestorm
Characters: Hannah
Ship: n/a
Other: Even if this was her horrible choice, her job, it didn’t mean this was actually who she was… did it?


In self-prompted you fill something like this out yourself before your oneshot and then post the actualy writing afterwards. Again, like you two have been doing in the writing dump box thread. You can do whatever- pirate101, other fandoms, even original. I wouldn't advise caution with this game since it's just a writing exercise, so forummotion's bogus claim rule probably wouldn't be a huge deal.

BUT YES HAVE FUN IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THIS. It can be a lot of fun! If you do the other version of this on other sites like I am, where other people are telling you what to write, please feel free to post those responses here too! :3 Just be sure to let us know which ones are prompted by other people and which are yours.
