[Ulysses Septimus]

"Rot in hell, vile Armada scum."Adrian spat, "both of you, rot in hell like your master Kane."

Ulysses' hand darted out, taking him by the throat as he himself hissed, "I should have your tongue cut out for insulting our lord Kane, but what fun would that be hmm?"

His red eyes turned to Sydney, a wicked glint clear in them, "Commodore, maybe you would like to teach this one a lesson?"

"Why, certainly..." She practically purred, slowly walking over to stand next to the Admiral, her eyes looking Adrian up and down like a snake does its prey.

"But what to do...? There are just so many options..."

[Ulysses Septimus]

Ulysses offered her another knife, this one long and thin, designed to be used to carve messages in tree trunks in the wild, but just as good for cutting through flesh as well, "Could there be something more painful than having bits of your own flesh slowly sliced from your body? Hehe."

"I suppose that would be a fitting punishment for speaking such horrid falsities..." She said, pursing her lips as she took the knife, turning it over and inspecting the blade.

"This blade would also be good for carving memories, I think." Turning to face Adrian directly, Sydney walked closer to him until she was literally inches away.

"Don't worry. You won't forget this anytime soon."

[Ulysses Septimus]

Ulysses backed off, curious as to how she would handle this.

"I feel a promotion coming your way, Commodore."He suddenly remarked, "now that we have those two in our hands."

[Sydney Underhill]

"Ah, really...? That's quite nice to hear..." She hissed, slowly tracing the outline of Adrian's face with the tip of the blade, carving thin, crimson lines in the swashbuckler's skin.

[Ulysses Septimus]

Adrian glared defiantly at her, "Bring it on, Armada scum, I have no fear of you."

Behind Sydney, Ulysses chuckled, "You really shouldn't have done that, pirate, because now you will die even more horribly."

[Sydney Underhill]

Sydney smiled.
"I am going to take that as a challenge, and as a fully capable officer of the Armada, I will accept it."

She then proceeded to make several soft nicks on his eyelids, a taunting dashed line following the spherical curve of his eyeball under the thin layer of skin.

Cut here, it seemed to say. Preferated, dashed lines, Adrian soon realized, and when he did, his arrogant façade seemed to falter for a moment.

"Are you catching on now...?"

"You wouldn't dare."His voice had taken a different tone now, more afraid, apprehending.

"I think I would, actually...what makes you think that I wouldn't? Your eyes see lies, after all, and that must be taken care of."

[Ulysses Septimus]

"Still trying to be a hero?"Ulysses chuckled in dark amusement, "foolish, truly foolish, considering that you are in our hands right now... Did you think your allies would be here to help, Devereaux? Because they've obviously left you!"

His grin stretched even wider when he sensed the panic that was starting to form, "You have no chance, Devereaux, no chance, thus you can do nothing!"

"Hmm...judging from the way I saw you 'fight', you're right handed. Perfect! We'll start with that, then. Your right eye, as you depend on it more so than the other."

And she used the tip of the blade again, tracing over the dashed line that she had oh-so-carefully drawn out before sinking the tip of the knife into the flesh, twisting it wickedly.

A scream ripped itself out of the swashbuckler's throat, as he begun to writhe, vainly trying to free himself from the chains.

Of course, it had no use, and only served to worsen the pain.

Ulysses licked his lips, the sight of blood sending jolts of euphoria through his mind and body. "Yes yes, fight, that makes it even more interesting!"

She twisted the blade around a few more times before roughly withdrawing it, along with the bloody remains of the swashbuckler's right eye and optic nerve.

And so I've brought him down, and so he's fallen. It was me. It was me!

She inhaled deeply, her eyelids fluttering heavily as a dizzy smile planted itself on her face.

"I don't know if you've figured this out yet, pirate...but this...is my oxygen."

[Ulysses Septimus]

"You-you are sick, just like your master Kane, like that madman Ulysses Septimus!"Adrian managed, choking on the words slightly. "I swear, if I wasn't restrained, I'll kill both of you!"

[Sydney Underhill]

"Oh, I'm sure you'd try...but given the current situation, I don't think you'll be doing that any time soon."

[Ulysses Septimus]

Ulysses flicked the edge of a wicked looking instrument that he had been playing around with--three razor sharp hooks attached to a metal hilt like a row of wicked claws--and walked up to Sydney, offering it.

"Since he won't shut up, why don't we have a go with this? Hehe."

[Sydney Underhill]

"This is rather interesting!" She said, her voice growing higher from excitement. "I've never seen this one before...does it have a particular purpose?"

[Ulysses Septimus]

"I've used this only twice," Ulysses pressed the tip of one finger against the point of one of the hooks, drawing a small streak of blood, "from my previous usage, I can say this is a rather fitting instrument for raking flesh from bone, haha."

((It's fine. I was at a drumline competition all day yesterday, so I wouldn't have been able to post much either ))

"That seems fun...!" Sydney's brow furrowed in thought, and she paced back and forth in front of Adrian a couple of times before suddenly stopping.

"Do you think we can turn him over so that his back is facing us?"

"I most certainly can, LIEUTENANT!"Ulysses snapped off an order to the Armada Marine elite in Latin, one of the languages the clockworks were rather fond of.

The Marine nodded in blank understanding and placed his weapons on the ground. He walked over to the chained pirate in two strides, unlocked him before, fast as lighting, restraining him again, only this time with his back facing the two Armada officers.

Sydney stepped back to allow the Armada Marine to execute his order, making a mental note to herself to learn their language, as she found it quite nice.

After Adrian had been re-chained, Sydney then took the knife she had used before to tear apart the fabric of his coat and shirt, not bothering to spare the skin underneath, and pulled them off of him, exposing his back to her.

"I wonder...will the spine surface first?"

[Ulysses Septimus]

((I am glad to hear that  ))

"I do not know, Commodore,"Ulysses chuckled, "hehe, why don't we try and see, hmm?"

He was silent for a moment, then said in a what almost felt like excited whisper, "How much useless blood do you think this one holds, eh? Hahahahehehe."

"Hopefully a lot, that's always fun...it's a mess, but that can be taken care of later."

She picked up the hooked weapon and, without further hesitation, dug it into the swashbuckler's back.

[Ulysses Septimus]

A pained scream immediately came from the imprisoned pirate, so loud that it could rival a banshee, though it did nothing other than to drive Ulysses even crazier, wanting more blood.

Which quickly gushed from the wound the triple hooks had tore into Adrian's flesh, dripping down his skin like small rubies.
