Re: World-Valencia
Sydney felt the anger rise in her chest, but managed to push it down for the time being. After all, there would be plenty of time to make them suffer for their idiocy.
Re: World-Valencia
Without warning, Adrian leapt the distance between the ships, crashing into Ulysses and forcing him to fight him to a hand to hand duel.
The admiral dodged a stab from Devereaux's daggers, pushing them back with his blade...
Meanwhile, the privateer drew his sword and calmly joined his friend on the decks of the "Interceptor", heading straight for Sydney, shield at the ready.

Re: World-Valencia
At first, Sydney was almost impressed by the calm demeanor of the privateer, as it was far from what she expected of such a pirate.
Oh well, that would have to go.
Quintus, who had climbed and was now at the top of the stairs that led up to the wheel, shot four times, barely missing the privateer by a millimeter each time. Two to the right, one to the left, one directly over his head, causing the privateer to instinctively turn his head away from Sydney and momentarily breaking his focus.
The Armada Commodore took this opportunity to slam the end of the handle of her poleaxe into his gut, hard.

Re: World-Valencia
The privateer, Edward Teach, grunted, doubling over from the hit delivered to him, at the same time revealing his back and himself wide open to attack.
While that happened, Ulysses kicked Adrian, hard, in the stomach, sending him flying backwards into the railing.
"Not so high and mighty now, are you?"The Admiral growled; there was a gash in his side, obviously from the swashbuckler's dagger, though it was a very small wound thus it was of no concern to Ulysses, and a stab wound on his arm, still weeping drops of blood. "Tell me, Devereaux, what made you think you are capable of fighting the might of the Armada?"
If Adrian wanted to answer, he wasn't given a chance, as the next moment, Ulysses picked him up by the collar and threw him into the mast, his skull colliding with a loud crack, and he didn't get up.
Knocked out cold.

Re: World-Valencia
Swinging her poleaxe back like a bat, Sydney slammed the flat side of the blade into Edward's side, knocking the wind out of him and sending him sprawling onto the deck.
She walked over, kicking him once so that he rolled over on his back before planting one of her heeled boots squarely on his abdomen. His face was contorted in an expression of shock and pain, and he looked up at her, rather shocked, just like all the others, as his eyes met her grey ones.
"Ah, good, you're still conscious. I wouldn't want you to miss out on this, hmm?"

Re: World-Valencia
She stomped hard on his chest, laughing once as she felt at least five of his ribs snap immediately.
"Wow, you finally figured that out! I suppose you're not as dumb as I thought. But, then again..." She paused to pull him up by his jacket collar, only to slam his head into the mast of the ship. "You're the notorious Edward Teach, right? So I think it's safe to say that you don't remember me...pity. I think you would have been more frightened if you did."

Re: World-Valencia
His eyes widened, in both agony and realization, though he made no attempt to free himself like he know it was no use, "Yes...It's you, Sydney Underhill... You-you joined the Armada..."
It really didn't have to be told out loud that he was afraid, terrified even: the shivers that ran down his frame and his frozen stiff body betrayed it all.

Re: World-Valencia
The Commodore knew that she had him then, he was done for and completely at her mercy.
"Correct! But don't worry about me, really...I'm finally where I belong." She took in the image of his damaged body, taking a moment to consider the ways in which she could end his pitiful existence.
"What do you think, Admiral? Shall I make this thing nice and disfigured, or do we need to report back to Lord Kane soon?"

Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses, who had handed Adrian over to the "care" of the Marine elite Sentus Optimus, appeared moments later by the Armada Commodore's left.
He grinned evilly, "I say we take this time and have some fun with those things, show them just exactly who's the masters... Since Lord Kane gave me free rein in this matter... Though I would suggest we do it in the private dungeon I've installed below deck."
The "Interceptor" has four layers below deck, despite its appearance, with the first two layer being the guns, and the third, the Admiral's dungeon where he keeps prisoners.

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney looked confused at first, but then she broke into a wide grin.
"Ah, what a surprise! This will be even more enjoyable than I thought!"

Re: World-Valencia
"Yes indeed!"Ulysses chuckled, though it soon became a spine chilling, devilish laugh.
Passing through the two layers where the guns are, they soon entered the third layer, a layer dark, errie, and for sure creepy, though it was lit by small, lights mounted on the wall, the lights barely helped and only served to make it even creepier, by outlining the blood splattered walls of the cells, and the tables piled with torture instruments inside each of them.
Ulysses unlocked one of the larger cells, stepping out of the way to make room for Sydney and Sentus so they can restrain the prisoners with the heavy manacles attached to the metal wall in the back.

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney dragged Edward into the room, her eyes growing wide in wonder at the sight of the numerous mechanisms of pain as she slammed the pirate into the wall, roughly shackling his wrists and ankles.
Stepping away from him, she closed her eyes and breathed deeply, inhaling the smell of blood and death like it was a sweet fragrance.
"I don't believe I've ever felt more at home."

Re: World-Valencia
"Isn't it beautiful?"Ulysses murmured, now completely shedding his "charismatic admiral" disguise to reveal the insane, sadistic madman that he had kept wrapped up for so long, "blood... death... pain... such beauties..."
He had a red hot branding iron in the shape of a "P" as he approached Adrian, who had been restrained as well by Sentus Optimus, a unnaturally wide smile stretching his once handsome face, "Let's start with a little warm up... Shall we?"
Without warning, he pressed the branding iron into the skin of Adrian's face, drawing a pained scream from the swashbuckler.
The air was immediately filled with the smell of burning flesh, which Ulysses drew in several deep breaths of like it was a good fragrance...

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney stepped back for the time being, laughing at the wonderful, exhilarating feeling of power this gave her. This was a result of her hard work and dedication, this scene before her.
"You do it so neatly, Admiral..." She said, crossing her arms and smiling widely. "I've never been good with brands, or fire...I was always clumsy and the burns would get messed up, see?"

Re: World-Valencia
"Hehe, thank you, Commodore."Ulysses thrust the brand back into the cauldron of burning coals, "I believe you will get better if you practice, considering the number of animals the Resistance has prepared."
He hefted a whip, which appeared to be made of leather though it was actually woven steel, that had what appeared to be barbed thorns and hooks attached at even intervals, offering it to Sydney, "You can start practicing today;perhaps try this while the brand is being prepared again?"
The admiral didn't say it, but the sight of blood and his victim writhing in pain sent a jolt of euphoria through him.
So addicting, knowing that they are at MY mercy.

Re: World-Valencia
"Hmm...I might." She said, taking the brand with two hands and gripping the handle tightly, treating it like it was a priceless artifact.
Walking over to where Edward was shackled to the wall, she pulled her arm back in preparation to swing, her eyes drinking in the sudden fear and realization that hit the privateer when he realized that the wicked device she was holding was now coming down - directly at him.

Re: World-Valencia
Ulysses twisted Adrian's face to look in the direction of the captured privateer.
"Watch carefully now, pirate, because that is how we are going to break you."The admiral hissed.
((sorry for taking so long: my homework was occupying my time. ^^; ))

Re: World-Valencia
((It's fine I get bogged down by homework quite often as well, so I feel your pain.))
Sydney had paused for a moment after she had brought the whip down on Edward the first time, carving a bloody gash down his face and stepping back as the crimson liquid flowed out of the wound as screams flowed out of his mouth.
"Don't break now!" She said, shaking his shoulder with her left hand. "There's still a lot more..."
So she raised the whip again, and let it fall on his flesh again. Vertical, horizontal, diagonal. Pretty lines, all perfectly straight. She liked it very much when her work turned out nicely.

Re: World-Valencia
((you know, Sydney, I'd love to tie up whoever came up with homework in the admiral's dungeon in the story -_- how about you?))
Blood gushed wildly out of the privateer's wounds, though Ulysses clicked his fingers and uttered a minor healing spell, just enough to keep him awake for what more is to come.
Meanwhile, he turned to Adrian.
"Remember Cyrus Chamberlain?"He growled, "I broke him utterly, he was virtually begging to be killed, paralyzed by psychological horror and pain... I will do the same thing to you, Devereaux, only much worse... Aren't we, Commodore?"

Re: World-Valencia
((That sounds extremely enjoyable.))
"Of course." Sydney said, letting her arm drop back to her side. "After all, being such famous pirates, I'm sure you two would like a dramatic ending. It seems fitting, doesn't it, Admiral?"

Re: World-Valencia
"It certainly does. Hehehehe."Ulysses grinned impossibly wide as he hefted the brand from its cauldron, once again glowing red with heat, "oh look! This is ready? Would you like to try it out now, Commodore?"
Re: World-Valencia
"I suppose I could give it a shot..." She said, tentatively picking up the brand and holding it out in front of her as she moved back over to her previous position in front of the privateer.
Pinning his head to the wall with her left hand, she used her right arm to drive the brand harshly into his right cheek, smiling as the now- burned flesh gave way for the red-hot metal.
Her face had an almost giddy expression as she leaned in close to the privateer, watching as his eyes were filled with more fear than she thought possible.
"You see...this is what I live for."

Re: World-Valencia
"The Spiral has no place for you filthy animals,"Ulysses hummed, "only beings like Kane, like me and her, should be allowed to inhabit the Spiral..."
He picked up a knife, just a regular knife, and walked over to Adrian, twirling it in his hand for a few seconds before bringing it whistling through the air, seemingly aimed at his throat...
Only to dig it into the metal wall that was about half a centimeter next to his flesh.
"Hehe, HAHAHA!"The admiral laughed, enjoying the fear that was starting to show in the swashbuckler's face, "you are afraid already? This is only the start!"

Re: World-Valencia
Sydney doubled over with laughter, dropping the brand, and she placed a hand on the table next to her to keep herself balanced.
"He...he can't do anything about it! He's going to die, but he doesn't know when!"
