"It seems we are thinking of the same thing."The admiral said, "so... Shall we?"

It's late at night, if they do it now, they probably won't suspect a thing in Monquista.

"Yes, I suppose we shall."

[Ulysses Septimus]

Ulysses nodded, turned, and begun to head toward the docks, after Sydney had retrieved her weapon.

[Sydney Underhill]

Sydney trailed Ulysses closely, a feeling of excitement boosting her energy.
She had always hated those two. They were all she ever heard about during her days as part of the Resistance.
Now it was time to show them who really was superior.

[Ulysses Septimus]

With Decimus and Quintus trailing behind them, Ulysses stopped at the base of the gangplank leading up into his ship the "Interceptor".

"I say we just take one ship, two is much too conspicuous and would arouse too much suspicion."The admiral suggested.

[Sydney Underhill]

"Yes, that's true..." She said, looking back at the two clockworks and then at the ship.

"I suppose it's the 'Interceptor', then?"

[Ulysses Septimus]

The Admiral nods, "Yes, ladies first?" He stepped out of the way, making room for her to walk up first.

She turned her head slightly, smirking to herself as she walked up to the deck, the Admiral following shortly after.

Ulysses stood at the wheel as one of the Dragoons under his command raised the heavy anchor.

The "Interceptor" sailed smoothly out of Cadiz, its black sails barely visible in the ink dark night.

He spun the wheel to the left, turning into a windlane that would lead into Avernus Skyway via a Stormgate.

Wind roared as the frigate passed through the gate, so loud and strong that even he had to reach up and clasp his tricorne to his skull for the brief second.


Monquista at night is nothing compared to the beauty of Valencia, especially not with its desert landscape.

The "Interceptor" passed the Monquistan stormgate blockade without a sound: should they alert those Monquistans, well, it won't be pretty.

Ulysses steered the frigate into Diablo's Cut, where he ordered the Dragoon to lower anchor again.

"For now, we stay here, it's too dangerous out there."He explained to Sydney, "plus, we need to make a plan on how to hunt those two down."

"I'm assuming that they're not here at the moment," she said, scanning over the flat terrain of Monquista, "will we be able to predict when we will see them?"

[Ulysses Septimus]

"If our spy did not make a mistake."Ulysses grinned darkly: he was the one that suggested the idea of planting a spy among the pirates, "they are usually questing around Monquista for the Opposition, mainly looting and destroying Monquisition ships almost everyday. And if my calculations did not fail me, around this area-" He made a sweeping motion to the area surrounding them, "-is where they most frequently appear, primarily around high noon or early morning, rarely at night, as the skies here are thick with Monquisition ships."

He gestured for Sentus to lower the flag and pull back the sails while he spoke, as so the Monquistans would not be able to recognize that they are with the Armada.

"So we shall wait for them to...come to us?"

[Ulysses Septimus]

"Basically, yes, strike where they are least expecting,"Ulysses confirmed, "Devereaux and his little friend won't expect us to show up right here."

(time skip again till next day early morning?)

The admiral woke early in the morning and walked onto the deck, where Sentus Optimus had been standing for the entire previous night.

"Do you see anything, lieutenant?"He asked, hands on his swords and ready for combat."

"They are here, Lord Ulysses."The Marine elite pointed to the distance, where two ships were firing at each other, one of them flying Adrian Devereaux's sigil and the colors of the Resistance, the other being a Monquisition ship. Though they were much too far away to see the Armada frigate.

"Excellent."

[Sydney Underhill]

((I guess Sydney does too, since she technically still has a human brain.))

"They've arrived, as predicted?" Sydney said, walking into the deck.

[Ulysses Septimus]

Ulysses had his swords drawn and donned his metal battle mask again, "Yes..." He pointed to the fighting ships in the distance, "recognize those colors, Commodore?"

Walking over to the railing, Sydney leaned over it slightly, trying to get a better view. Her eyes narrowed when she was able to make out the symbol on the flag of the ship.

"It's...them."

[Ulysses Septimus]

"Yes, those fools."Ulysses hissed softly, almost like a serpent, "what do you suggest now, Commodore?"

[Sydney Underhill]

"What do I suggest...?" She crossed her arms, seemingly thinking hard for a few seconds. "Fly our flag. They're arrogant idiots, they'll take the bait. Of course, based on what I've seen of them, they're no match against us if we fight smart. Intelligence seems to be one thing that they lack."

[Ulysses Septimus]

"Of course, especially that hotheaded idiot Devereaux."Ulysses snapped his fingers, "hoist the colors, lieutenant."

Soon, the black flag bearing the cogwheel symbol of the Armada flew proudly in the morning mist.

In the distance, the ship that was Adrian's galleon had finally defeated the Monquisition ship and begun to approach the "Interceptor"'s hideout.

[Sydney Underhill]

"They've sighted us," Sydney said, pushing off from the railing with her hands and picking up her poleaxe.

"How do you want to do this, Admiral? Shall we take them on, just us five? It'll be amusing, seeing how fast they fall."

[Ulysses Septimus]

"Taking them on? Sure, I want to see how foolish Devereaux is as well."Ulysses twirled his blades as Sentus shifted into his mechanical "ready" stance.

He glanced behind him at the two musketeers, Decimus and Quintus, then turned back again to face the fast approaching ship.

Sydney laughed softly, shaking her head.

"Yes, they won't know what hit them..."

Behind her, Decimus and Quintus readied their rifles, closely trailing the two Armada officers.

[Ulysses Septimus]

"Armada scum!"Ulysses scowled underneath his mask when he heard that all too familiar voice, "do you seek death? Coming right here to Monquista, where we, where I am the strongest?"

"You perhaps wouldn't have lost so many times if you were a bit more modest, Adrian Devereaux."He growled: now the galleon is close enough for the Armada warriors to see the occupants.

The first, a medium built swashbuckler with hazel eyes, peach colored skin, and neck lengthed brown hair in a ponytail was the one that spoke.

He was followed by a privateer of the same built, but with blue eyes and black locks that touched his shoulders.

"And you've brought a friend, I see?"Adrian laughed arrogantly, "no matter, we will still prove victorious.."
